Former Rutherford County Democratic Chairman Jonathan Fagan joined Ketron in advocating the need for the new law.

Event to Honor State Senator Ketron

NASHVILLE, Tenn., September 16, 2011 -- Families will be honoring State Senator Bill Ketron at an event Wednesday, September 21st at 2pm. Their children now have access to hearing aids, due to the passage of legislation in Tennessee requiring that insurance companies cover them. Countless families and many statewide agencies, including the host of the event, the Tennessee Disability Coalition, labored in support of this legislation. The event has been organized to show their appreciation for Senator Ketron’s leadership in passing hearing aid coverage for children, which was signed into law by Governor Haslam in May.
